The CD reflects on the underside because it is made of a polycarbonate plastic layer with a reflective metal layer underneath. When light hits the surface of the CD, it is reflected off the metal layer, creating the shiny appearance on the underside. This design allows the CD to be read by a laser on the underside, which reads the data encoded in the metal layer to play the audio or retrieve the stored information. **

The underside of a moldy mattress can also be affected by mold growth, especially if the mattress has been in contact with a damp or humid surface. Mold spores can easily spread to the underside of the mattress and thrive in the dark, moist environment. It's important to thoroughly inspect and clean the entire mattress, including the underside, to prevent the spread of mold and ensure a healthy sleeping environment. If the mold growth is extensive, it may be necessary to consider replacing the mattress to avoid potential health risks. **

Yes, burning plastic can release toxic fumes and chemicals, including dioxins, furans, and other harmful substances. These toxins can be harmful to human health and the environment. It is important to avoid burning plastic and instead dispose of it properly through recycling or other waste management methods. **

No, Styrofoam with a grey underside does not contain asbestos. Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral fiber that was commonly used in building materials in the past, but it is not a component of Styrofoam. The grey underside of Styrofoam is typically just the color of the material and does not indicate the presence of asbestos. If you have concerns about asbestos in a building material, it is best to have it tested by a professional. **

The height of the underside of the edge depends on the specific context and purpose of the object or structure. If the underside of the edge is too high, it may create difficulties in accessing or using the object. It is important to consider ergonomics and functionality when determining the appropriate height of the underside of the edge to ensure it is comfortable and practical for users. **

The underside of the arm is often darker because it receives less exposure to sunlight compared to the top of the arm. This results in less melanin production in the skin, leading to a lighter color on the top of the arm and a darker color on the underside. Additionally, the skin on the underside of the arm is often thinner, which can make blood vessels more visible, contributing to the darker appearance. **

The underside of the Earth is primarily composed of the Earth's mantle and core. The mantle is a layer of hot, semi-solid rock that extends from the Earth's crust to the outer core. The core is made up of a liquid outer core and a solid inner core, both primarily composed of iron and nickel. These layers play a crucial role in the Earth's internal structure and dynamics, including the generation of the Earth's magnetic field. **

Mold can develop on the underside of dishes when they are not properly dried after washing. If dishes are stacked while still wet, moisture can become trapped between them, creating a damp environment conducive to mold growth. Additionally, if dishes are stored in a dark and poorly ventilated area, this can also contribute to mold development. To prevent mold from developing on the underside of dishes, it is important to ensure that they are thoroughly dried before being stacked or stored. **
